Inspiration

This miniature hand‑painted watch dial presents a serene lake‑and‑mountain composition rendered in a style influenced by the iconic visual language of Lawren Harris and the broader Northern landscapes. It is a completely new, original artwork created exclusively for this timepiece.

Design & Craft

The landscape—crystalline mountains rising above a still northern lake—is first conceived as a full‑scale illustration, then miniaturized and micro‑painted onto the dial using traditional artisanal techniques, specialized acrylic pigments, and a protective lacquer finish.

Each dial requires over 70 hours of focused hand‑painting, executed in atelier by artists trained in microscopic detail work. Though the dial is dramatically smaller than a full canvas, it captures the same sense of clarity and emotional stillness associated with Northern landscapes. Cool gradients, sculpted mountain planes, and gentle lake ripples are rendered with exceptional precision.

Every element—mountain edges, reflected light, subtle sky transitions—is applied with a single‑hair brush, allowing depth to emerge through controlled strokes and delicate layering. The result is a dial that pulls you into a quiet northern world expressed through an original composition in a style reminiscent of Canada’s modernist masters.
